So everywhere I turn I see another natural woman or someone who "professes" that they are transitioning or someone who is just thinking about it. It makes my heart smile. :) As most of you already know I'm moving in 2 days...woohoo! So I'm not going to lie, before I leave the house sometimes or when I just wake up, my hair might look crazy (don't get me wrong, I'm still sexy fine). Anyways...so my dad has been eyeing my hair a lot lately. He isn't entirely convinced about this natural thing (even though my mom is "natural" too, but her hair is wavy and curly and it lays down (unlike mine)).
So a couple days ago he approached me and was like are you going to get your hair done before you leave, and I just looked at him...I didn't know what to say. He was like is it because you don't have money, I was like nooo it's not that...So the next day he left me a lump sum of money to get my hair done. Which is sooo out of character for my dad, he never breaches the "beauty" wall in my home (I guess cause he has 3 daughters and a wife). And then he NEVER freely offers me money. lol. So now he has been asking me when I'm going to get my hair done, but I'm pretty sure he knows that I'm not going to. And when he means get my hair done, he wants me to straighten it. My hair hasn't been straight in 2+ years...so that's definitely going to happen and I don't feel like sitting down for some microbraids, so I'll just twist it up or something. I hate having super long posts, so I think I'm just going to post this and then make a new post on what I originally intended this one to be before I got off on a tangent...Until Next Time...
